Kangana Ranaut Asks To Shift from Twitter To Home-Grown Koo App

Actress Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday threatened to quit Twitter. Kangana also said she will soon join homegrown app Koo. This comes after the microblogging site “withheld a portion of the accounts” identified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) within India.

Kangana took to Twitter and wrote, “Your time is up @Twitter time to shift to #kooapp will inform everyone soon about my account details there. Absolutely thrilled to experience home grown #kooapp.”

In her previous tweet, Kangana also called out Twitter and its founder Jack Dorsey for withholding accounts.

Developed by Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka back in March 2020, Koo is an Indian micro-blogging platform and Ashish Hemrajani of BookMyShow, Vivekananda Hallekere of Bounce and Zerodha’s Nikhil KamathRead sits on the board of the App's parent firm.

To recall, Kangana has faced multiple account restrictions recently, and has had certain tweets removed for violating Twitter guidelines. Her sister Rangoli Chandel's account remains permanently suspended for promoting hate speech.

Kangana had previously called Twitter 'China's puppet', even though the service is blocked in China. 'Druggies', in the past, was reserved for her film industry colleagues.
